The Church of the Resurrection
Glorifying God by Refreshing Souls, Bridging Communities, Engaging People in Service

The congregation of the church is an enthusiastic
and energetic group of people with the Holy
Eucharist central to the parish's spirituality. In
addition to our worship, we place great value on
our outreach programs within the church family
and throughout the community.

We'd love to have you come as you are to our
friendly little church in the woods!

New Adult Sunday School Begins For Eastertide
Kirk LaFon, Seminarian

A few years ago, Rabbi Marc Gellman and Monsignor Thomas Hartman
(popularly known as the “God Squad”) wrote
How Do You Spell God?, an
interesting book on the world’s religions.  More than just a catchy title, in many
ways this question represents our faith journeys as Episcopalians — who is
God?  How do we relate to God?  How would God have us relate to each
other?  However, in our richly diverse world, people “spell God” differently.  We
may wonder…why does my Muslim colleague cover her head with a scarf?
What do Hindus do in that building we pass on I-75?  This class during the
Easter season will explore the major beliefs and practices of Hinduism,
Buddhism, Judaism, and Islam.  In discussing these major world religions,
participants will be invited to reflect on their own faith as well as Christianity’s
place in a world of diverse religious traditions.

NOTE: Last Adult Sunday School class will be Sunday, May 24th
